At Southern Maryland Volleyball Club (SOMDVBC), our vision is to provide a competitive volleyball experience for dedicated players through well-structured practice sessions and through playing games at the highest competitive age-appropriate level possible, increasing the tactical element of team play by using volleyball as a vehicle to promote fair play, self-confidence and good citizenship.
Sundays September 11 – October 30
Capital Clubhouse from 2-4 PM
*FIRST WEEK WILL BE PRACTICE ONLY
This is an instructional volleyball league that will run for 8 weeks and in partnership with the Capital Clubhouse, is designed to help develop players and prepare them for high school or Club play. There are no tryouts, all athletes will be placed on a team!
Opposing teams will practice together for 60 minutes prior to playing two 30-minute games. Teams will be made prior to the start of the League and formed by ages, schools, or geographical area. If you would like to form your own team of 10, let us know!
This League is open to 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. The League will also accommodate any 9th grader who did not make their high school team.
Registration fee includes practice time, game time, and team shirt.
Reiko Allred, Volleyball Coach and former Setter and Defensive Specialist from Montana State University Billings will be overseeing the coaching and providing standardized practice plans for each session.
Southern Maryland Volleyball Club coaches will be working with the teams and operating the League.
